Background

Running farms as businesses is important especially in the non-commercial sectors.  Currently, farming is just run as a way of life for many farmers.  Knowledge of running farms as business entities is generally absent among non-commercial farmers.  Thus, there is need to transform the mindset so that farmers recognize the business sense.  Thus, providing knowledge and skills in managing farm finances could be one way of changing the mindset.
