Mulungushi University receives the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) award as the Highest Overall Tax Contributor in Central Province, in recognition of its contribution to national revenue mobilisation.

Speaking during a meeting with ZRA on 4th November 2026, Vice-Chancellor, Ambassador Professor Royson M. Mukwena, expressed gratitude for the recognition, reaffirming the University's commitment to responsible institutional governance, accountability and compliance with statutory obligations.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted that the University has successfully settled its longstanding outstanding tax obligations amounting to K14.84 million, and is now fully up to date with its tax payments, averaging K5.6 million per month.

He further reaffirmed the University's commitment to sustaining tax compliance and contributing to the Government's Grow Zambia Agenda and broader national development aspirations.

This recognition underscores Mulungushi University's commitment to accountability, institutional responsibility and contributing to Zambia's development.
