Career Profile

Born and raised in Zambia, from a family of three brothers and four sisters. Married with two children. Proven analytical skills, ability to meet deadlines, and work productively. Muwanei is an astute and prolific professional in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

His main philosophy is anchored on using his expertise to improve the livelihood of humanity. His dream is to use his skills to develop the ICT sector in Zambia and ensure that those in less privileged positions are economically enabled, empowered, and educated.

Muwanei has worked as a lecturer and consultant in Zambia (Southern Africa) for more than eleven years. He has taught on BSc and MSc Information Technology programmes at various institutions of higher learning.

He is an experienced software developer and has served as a developer and consultant on various projects of varying complexity over the years.


Research Focus

Recently completed a PhD in Computer Science focusing on Information Retrieval Systems and Data Analytics.

In this research, the main interest was the development of predictive models for the evaluation of large-scale search systems. Developed predictive models using ensemble machine learning algorithms and deep learning ensembles trained on over ten gigabytes of textual data from hundreds of search systems.

His research interests also include Blockchain Technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), and Distributed Systems.
