Mulungushi University invites applications for the Bachelor of Arts in Demography (Major) and Economics (Minor), a four-year interdisciplinary programme designed to equip students with strong analytical skills in population studies and economic analysis.

The programme provides a solid foundation in population dynamics, economic theory, data analysis, research methods, and policy evaluation, enabling students to understand and respond to real-world challenges related to population growth, health, development, and economic planning. It is offered under Full-Time and Open Distance Learning (ODL) modes, giving students flexibility in their studies.

Graduates of this programme are well prepared for careers in government ministries, international and multilateral organisations, NGOs, research institutions, and the private sector. Employment opportunities include roles such as Demographers, Economists, Market Researchers, Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, Planners, and Research Fellows, both locally and internationally. Graduates may also pursue further studies in population studies, economics, and development-related fields.

Admission Requirements:
Applicants must possess a Grade 12 ECZ or Cambridge ‘O’ Level Certificate with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including Mathematics and English.
