Kabwe, Zambia – On Friday, 31st October 2025, Mulungushi University held its 17th annual graduation ceremony under the theme, “Lifelong Learning: Self-Improvement through Skills Enhancement Post-Graduation.”
The ceremony celebrated a significant increase in graduates, with 2,226 students graduating compared to 1,775 in 2024, drawn from the University's seven schools. In his address, the Chancellor of Mulungushi University, Prof. Oliver Saasa, urged the graduates to be intentional in applying the new skills and knowledge acquired from their studies. He emphasized that they are alumni of "one of the greatest universities in the country" and should carry that standard forward.
The Vice Chancellor, Ambassador Professor Royson M. He reassured stakeholders that the University continues to work closely with the government to address these issues.
The event's Vote of Thanks was delivered by the best graduating student, Teresa Malama Mwangila, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics with an impressive 48.5 points out of a possible 50.
