RESEARCH WORKS

  1. in 1990 I was engaged by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa to do a research work and prepare the Zambian chapter for the second Industrial Development Decade for Africa (IDDA) . I successfully executed this assignment .

  2. In 1999 Mr. Mwanza from University of Zambia school of Mines, Mr. SIbbuku a private consultant and my self were hired by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry as consultants to undertake a study on “ Scrap Metal Industry” in Zambia. This was a project funded by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). We successfully executed this study.

  3. Together with other two lecturers we have undertaken study on “Corruption, access to services, regulation and business performance “. Report has been submitted to the Directorate of Post Graduate Studies for publication.

  4. I am currently conducting a study on the role of Distance Education at Mulungushi University.

Contribution to Teaching and Training

  1. I have been offering lectures in 12 courses under the Department of Economics.

  2. I have been conducting research supervision to under graduate and post graduate students.

  3. I have mentored and supervised 6 tutors

Paper Presentations at Professional forums

 

  • I presented a paper on “Factors that Contribute to poverty in Zambia” at an ‘ International Conference on ‘Social work, Education and Social Development’ which was held In Livingstone from 25-28 June , 2017.

 

  • I presented a paper on “Poverty and Livelihood strategies Among the Poor people of Makululu Compound” at the ‘First International Multi-Disciplinary Conference held in Lusaka from 23-25 August 2017.

 

  • I presented a paper on “Policies and Measures to address poverty in Zambia ” at the Second International Multi-Disciplinary Conference held in Lusaka from 29-31 August 2018.

  • I presented a paper on “Economic Reforms as Sources of Poverty In Zambia” at an international conference on “ Impact of Socioeconomic Reformson Sustainable Development” held in Lusaka fro 3rd – 4th December, 2020

 

  • I presented a paper on “Understanding Economic Principles” at the ‘Youth Leadership Development workshop’ which was held at Mulungushi University from 12-19 November, 2017. The workshop was organised by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.
