BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING IN ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) deals with the study and real-world application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is at the forefront of new technological advances in every sector today's society.

Through the study of EEE, you are likely to reduce the carbon footprint by developing renewable energy solutions and roll out smart energy grids, thereby making a difference to society. Our society relies on Electrical and Electronic Engineers for everything from low power Telecommunications systems, electrical machines, control systems, to high voltage electrical power generation and distribution systems. Electrical and Electronic Engineering is at the core of the modern world, from computers to digital circuits and a wealth of electronic devices. Electrical and Electronic Engineering is one of the most satisfying programmes that you can pursue.

If your interests are science, technology in general or mathematics, then consider pursuing Electrical and Electronic Engineering as your career. You will use your imagination, creativity and knowledge to provide society with the needed complex systems. In your future career, you may design the machines that supply our energy needs, digital control systems for various applications including internet-enabled sensors, design complete computer systems on a silicon chip, create stunning electronic displays, or design the latest communications satellite or mobile phone.

Electrical and Electronic Engineering Laboratories at Mulungushi University are one of the top Laboratories in Zambia with ultra-modern training equipment. We deliver teaching in world-class facilities, including laboratories dedicated to particular areas of work such as Telecommunication Engineering, Power Systems, Control Systems, Computer-Aided Design, Electrical Machines, Electrical Drives, Materials testing, etc.

We are well connected with both local, and national industry, where you get the chance to experience real-life industry challenges and projects, through guest lectures, study visits and networking events.

Our Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering is accredited by the Higher Educational Authority (HEA) and Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA), providing you with your first step into becoming a registered engineer.

The first two years of the programme covers general engineering courses, making you develop vital knowledge in all engineering areas – making you far more adaptable in employment. Thereafter proceed into three specializations, which are Power Systems, Communication Systems and Networks, and Control Systems.
