Master of Science in Computer Science


The MSc in Computer Science consists of course work and a research component. The first year will consist of eight compulsory semester courses. The second year will consist of a research course (Dissertation and Viva-Voce) from which the student is expected to publish the results in a peer reviewed Conference or Journal. The programme has the following courses;

a) YEAR ONE

Semester One Courses
1. CSC 5011 Research Methodologies
2. CSC 5211 Information and System Security
3. CSC 5022 Advanced Web Technology
4. CSC 5811 Advanced Computer Networks

Semester Two Courses
1. CSC 5711 Advanced Distributed Systems
2. CSC 5612 Software Testing And Quality Assurance
3. CSC 5712 Data Mining And Machine Learning Techniques
4. CSC 5822 Mobile Applications

b) YEAR TWO

1. CSC 6004 Dissertation and Viva-Voce
